June Brilly was born into a farming family in Illinois, Mid West USA in 1956. A great interest in horses and an early career in racing in the USA led her to Ireland in 1975 to work with steeplechasers. She has been here ever since. In 1982 following many successful commissions she decided to devote herself to painting full-time. She now lives and works in Co. Kildare, Ireland

June works predominantly in oils. Her work in recent years seeks to interpret a broad spectrum of animal life. Her fluid, loosely impressionist style gives to the subject of farm horse, show horse, idle cat, busy sheepdog and of course the humble cow, a majesty hitherto unimaginable.

She has had successful solo exhibitions at The Killarney Art Gallery, The Gorry Gallery, Dublin,. Ariane Gallery, Dublin, Combridge Fine Art, Dublin, Wolferton House, Dorset, England, Henry-Brett Gallery, Gloucestershire, England .Tuckmill Gallery, Kildare.
And exhibits regularly at The Killarney Art Gallery, Mulvany Bros- Dublin. Mark Humphreys - New York, Henry-Brett at the Mall-London, Criswick Galleries New York & Toronto, Punchestown Spring Festival Meeting, Goffs Bloodstock Sales, The Royal Hibernian Academy Dublin,
June Brilly’s work is held in many public and private collections in Ireland and around the world including The Rice Collection Lexington Kentucky.
